Today, the company serves as the U.S. manufacturing center for many of RG's turf brands and as the nation's premier supplier of private label turf products.
Our Factory
Controlled Products is headquartered in Dalton, Georgia where it incorporates the latest technology into each project at its state-of-the-art, 280,000 square foot facility.
We are equipped to develop, market and package innovative, customized turf solutions. As industry leaders in innovation and technology, we custom manufacture all types of artificial turf and build long-term relationships with our network of worldwide dealers.
Our History
While the history of Controlled Products dates back to 1989, the current operation includes a number of acquisitions and investments completed by The Recreational Group.
1989
Control Products is founded and earns a reputation as a leader in the artificial turf industry known for its innovation and investments in technology.
2003
As a sign of its commitment to advancing the synthetic turf industry, Controlled Products becomes founding member of the Synthetic Turf Council.
2017
The Recreational Group completes major investment in fiber extrusion business and introduces the Viridian brand of fiber to the industry.
2020
The Recreational Group acquires Engineered Turf, a Dalton, Georgia based manufacturer of high-quality artificial grass and turf for athletic fields, playgrounds, putting surfaces, lawns, and pet care facilities.
2021
Sentinel Capital Partners acquires Controlled Products to help drive acquisitive and organic growth.
2022
Controlled Products merges with The Recreational Group to not only create one of the world's most vertically integrated manufacturers of synthetic turf, but also become a supplier of a complete line of premium recreational surfacing.
